Teresa Ortiz, Family Nurse Practitioner, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant 
Teresa was born in Mexico but has spent most of her professional life in the United States. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner fervently dedicated to women’s health and to help mother and baby breastfeed successfully. 
As our breastfeeding consultant Teresa brings an immense wealth of knowledge and experience.

Janine Souffront, Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator
Janine came to Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Puerto Rico.  She has dedicated her life to promoting healthy eating and effective diabetes self-management among the Latino communities in Los Angeles. She is passionate about gestational diabetes, diabetes prevention and integrating the Promotoras de Salud model into programs. Patients describe her as caring, practical and realistic in her advice. 
Cristina Carlos, Master of Public Health, Certified Lactation Educator, Health Coach
Cristina is our passionate leader and visionary. She is a third generation Angelina and a second generation Mexican-American (Chicana); born in the east side of LA into a loving and proud family.  She received her Master’s Degree in International Health from Tulane University, her emphasis was population and reproductive studies. Cristina is dedicated to supporting women as they reach their goal of having a healthy pregnancy, experiencing the childbirth they envision, and to successfully breastfeed and nourish their beautiful babies.
Yadira Enriquez, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Born and raised in East Los Angeles, Yadira is a Chicana identified, bilingual, Licensed Clinical Social Worker.   She received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan and has been working as a clinical social worker since 2011.  She is devoted to providing therapeutic services that are culturally and linguistically appropriate.  Her therapy approach is eclectic and focuses on addressing how past trauma and attachment issues impact present day relationships and situations.   

Patricia Murphy, Certified Lactation Educator, Certified Post-partum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, CPR Instructor
Patricia was born in Colombia where she studied Social Work. She came to Los Angeles for adventure and stayed to live her life among Angelenos. She adores babies and is devoted to helping women during pregnancy and the post-partum period of their lives. Patricia is also a  CPR instructor, certified childbirth, breastfeeding and an Echo Parenting educator.
